Though a fairly extensive portion of Auckland (more so since the development of the Whitford, Half Moon Bay and Pakuranga areas), the East Auckland area is tipped to be come even larger due to the large amount of farmland, yet untouched.
The other thing to note is how safe East Auckland, specifically Howick and Botany Downs, is perceived to be by home buyers and the like.
Another character feature of East Auckland is it’s well known shopping township Botany Town Centre.
